The origins of Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a proven therapy practiced throughout the modern world. Its foundation is the theory and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), an ancient system of natural healing which was also a way of life in China and Japan dating back several thousand years.
Acupuncture treatments
Fine hair-like needles are placed in strategic points on the body and will remain in situ for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. It is holistic in its approach and addresses the whole person, body and mind, and the problem/concern presented. Diet and lifestyle are also taken into account.
This is a “root and branch” approach, treating the cause and symptoms respectively. It can be highly effective in maintaining a balanced state of well-being and optimum health by helping the body and mind recover its physiological balance.

Acupuncture can be used across a broad spectrum of physical and mental conditions and is beneficial for well-being encouraging relaxation and positivity. It can aid many acute and chronic conditions including:
