What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a proven therapy practiced throughout the modern world. Its foundation is the theory and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), an ancient system of natural healing which was also a way of life in China and Japan dating back several thousand years.

Fine hair-like needles are placed in strategic points on the body and will remain in situ for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

Acupuncture is holistic in its approach and addresses the whole person, body and mind, and the problem/concern presented. Diet and lifestyle are also taken into account. This is a “root and branch” approach treating the cause and symptoms respectively.

It can be highly effective in maintaining a balanced state of wellbeing and optimum health by helping the body and mind recover its physiological balance.

What can Acupuncture help?

Acupuncture treats a broad spectrum of physical and mental conditions and is also beneficial for day-to-day wellbeing.

It can be used to treat many acute and chronic conditions, such as stress, anger, anxiety, depression, fatigue, insomnia, headaches/migraines, emotional issues, women's health, mens health, digestive problems, painful joints, addictions and much more.

TCM can also work well with traditional 'Western' medicine and is sometimes recommended to support your treatment.
