Tom Lowes B.Ost
Registered Osteopath
Tom trained at The British School of Osteopathy in London. He previously worked as a personal trainer with a strong interest in sports conditioning. His passion for injury treatment and rehabilitation began following his recovery from knee ligament surgery in 1996.
Using careful observation of the body's mechanics Tom identifies sites of dysfunction. This explains the underlying cause of an injury and helps to recognise patterns that may overload the mechanics of the body. Treatment is then aimed at restoring optimal function. He places an emphasis on rehabilitation and corrective exercises, as this significantly reduces the body's decline to a chronic injury state.
Tom is also currently working at a sports injury clinic in central London, and with a number of amateur league football teams. He is passionate about the role of osteopathy in sports injury rehabilitation.
