Leslie Abrahams
Senior Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Leslie is the co-owner of Bodies Under Construction Physio and he qualified as a physiotherapist with honours in 1998 from the University of Cape Town. He has worked in Private Practice both in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He has a special interest in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy, lumbo-pelvic stability dysfunction and lower limb biomechanics. He has previously worked and travelled with high-level athletes in the field of cycling and volleyball.
To further his work as a physiotherapist, Leslie wanted to add preventative exercise into his clinical treatments and so started his Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in 2004. He has gone on to become an APPI Master Trainer, presenting Pilates courses locally and internationally to physiotherapists.
Leslie also has post-graduate qualifications in Acupuncture, Dry Needling, Sports Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy. He has experience dealing with clients post injury and surgery to functional restoration.
He also enjoys challenging his fit clients with higher-level exercises.
Ellen Ernstzen
Senior Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Ellen is the co-owner of Bodies Under Construction Physio and is a Chartered Physiotherapist with 14 years clinical experience. After training as a physiotherapist at the University of East London, graduating in 1996, Ellen worked in the NHS for over five years before entering Private Practice. She is also certified as a Pilates practitioner with Polestar Pilates to be able to teach Clinical Pilates as rehabilitation-based and injury prevention exercise.
Recently completing her MSc in Physiotherapy and passing with distinction, Ellen now has special interests in low back pain, tendinopathy and exercise. Further Pilates training completed by Ellen includes women's health, osteoporosis, back care and fitness screening.
She has also completed post-graduate training in Acupuncture for pain relief.
Bhavini Mistry
Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Bhavini graduated in 2005 from the University of Manchester with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. Since qualifying she has worked in the NHS within the Manchester areas, followed by an opportunity that took her to Salisbury and finally her last location of working in London.
Working in London since 2007, Bhavini completed her rotational posts at a major teaching hospital and she has gained a wealth of experience in treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Bhavini has also trained in the APPI Modified Pilates method, Acupuncture and dry needling techniques.
Rebecca Chan
Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates Instructor

Rebecca has a degree in Physical and Health Education at the University of Western Australia. She then went on to train as a physiotherapist completing her training at Curtin University in Western Australia graduating in 2004 as a physiotherapist. In 2007 Rebecca embarked on an extensive journey into the study of the Pilates method. She completed her training with both Polestar Pilates and Pilates International. She is now a certified Polestar Pilates Practitioner in both Rehabilitation and Mat and holds a Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction. In 2009 she also completed her Masters degree in the specialized field of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia.
Her passion and expertise lies in the area of movement re-education and functional rehabilitation through the unique combination of physiotherapy techniques and Pilates exercises.
Andrea Yeboah
Women's Health Physiotherapist

Andrea graduated from Brunel University in 2004 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Early on in her career she chose to specialise in Women's Health and went on to study for a postgraduate certificate Physiotherapy in Women's Health. Andrea has worked at three major London teaching hospitals in the field of Women's Health and also has experience working in the private sector. Her special interests are ante and postnatal back pain, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor dysfunction including bladder and bowel incontinence and pelvic organ pro-lapse.
As well as her physiotherapy qualification Andrea also teaches ante and postnatal Pilates and prenatal yoga and she is therefore well placed to advise you or refer you for either of these forms of exercise.

Located within The Putney Clinic, we have partnered with Active Life Podiatry to deliver a comprehensive Podiatry, Chiropody & Bio-Mechanical Analysis service within our facility. John Durkin is their founder and lead Podiatrist on-site:
John Durkin
Qualified Podiatrist

John qualified as a podiatrist in 1988 and founded his first podiatry practice in Lillie Road, Fulham, in 1991. From small beginnings, John had ambitious plans for both his practice and his professional status.
He has become a specialist in biomechanics treating sports men and women and helping them to perform better with bespoke orthoses and John is very well-known amongst international rugby players from Harlequins and London Wasps.
John is also very keen on making sure children grow up healthily. His gentle, good-natured character makes him a friend of all the young people who come to see him.
Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy & Life Coaching
Located within The Putney Clinic, we have partnered with MG Hypnosis to deliver additional clinical services to complete the cycle of medical and wellbeing care we can offer our clients. Marygrace Anderson is the lead therapist offering these services within the clinic:

Certified Hypnotherapist & Psychotherapist

Marygrace became interested in helping people with hypnosis after experiencing first hand how incredible and effective it was with smoking cessation. She decided to master the technique to assist others in improving their lives.
She is a certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist. She holds an advanced diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, a degree from the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis in Hypnotherapy, Counselling, and Emotional Freedom Therapy and other Energy Therapies. She holds a BA Degree from Regis University, in Denver, Colorado, in Psychology. She also works with children from the age of 7+ and young adults, helping them adjust to their problems and life adjustments from modern day stress and worries.
Marygrace is a member of the CNCH, General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH USA). She attends advanced training sessions throughout the year. She holds a Full Clean Enhanced Disclosure from the Due Diligence Checking and full liability insurance.
Sports & Exercise Medicine
Located within The Putney Clinic, we have partnered with Dr Courtney Kipps to deliver a comprehensive Sports & Exercise Medicine service within our facility:
Dr Courtney Kipps BMedSci BMBS MSc MRCS MRCGP MFSEM
Honorary Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine

Dr Courtney Kipps is an honorary consultant in sport and exercise medicine to University College London Hospitals and Principal Clinical Teaching Fellow at University College London where he jointly organises the MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise and Health at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health.
He grew up playing sport in South Africa and came over to the UK to study medicine. He graduated in medicine from Nottingham University in 2000. After completing his MRCS he was awarded an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine with distinction at Queen Mary, University of London. He qualified in general practice before training as a sport and exercise medicine physician on the London Deanery's specialist training programme. In 2010, Dr Kipps was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to study sport and exercise medicine overseas. This fellowship took him to Harvard and Stanford Universities in the USA as well as Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre in Melbourne in 2010/11. He was appointed to his current post in 2011.
Dr Kipps is the medical director of the London Triathlon, the Blenheim Triathlon and London's "Run To The Beat" half-marathon. He is also assistant medical director of the London Marathon and a club doctor for Harlequins Rugby Club in the Aviva Premiership. He is joint- organiser of "Marathon Medicine", an annual conference on the medicine and science of endurance running. He leads several avenues of collaborative research to better understand the medical complications that arise during endurance exercise. He has published and spoken internationally in this field.
Dr Kipps is also on the UK Task Force for "Exercise Is Medicine" charged with increasing awareness of the health benefits of physical activity amongst healthcare providers and is currently studying attitudes and barriers to physical activity referral in various healthcare settings.
We are delighted that Dr Kipps has joined The Putney Clinic team and he works closely with us when referring his patients on to us for Osteopathy and other treatments. He is registered with all the major insurance companies.

Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery
Located within The Putney Clinic for some of his consultations, Neil Bulstrode performs plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery for adult and paediatric patients. He is the Lead Clinician for Plastic Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, performing reconstructive surgery on disfigured children. He is also Honorary Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Craniofacial Department at University College London Hospital in London
With his modern and caring approach to plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, Neil Bulstrode is considered to be at the forefront of all new procedures and techniques in this area of medicine.
