Clive Lathey  DO. MSc (Sports Medicine)

Registered Osteopath

Clive is the senior Osteopath and founder of The Putney Clinic.

He graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1983 and after working in Australia, New Zealand and Spain he has spent the last 15 years working in London.  He spent 5 years working within private GP clinics as well as 8 years working part-time in a leading Physiotherapy Sports Rehabilitation Clinic.  This involved dealing with many top athletes from England rugby, athletics and premiership football. 5 years was also spent in an NHS GP surgery treating both private and NHS patients.

Clive has been contracted to top golfer Colin Montgomerie, travelling with him to events such as the Ryder Cup and US Masters tournament in Augusta.  More recently, Clive has been working with the Saudi Arabian Olympic team, travelling with them to their training camp in Finland.  He also regularly treats professional tennis players, Olympic athletes and West-End theatre production members.

This is in addition to his long-standing local client base that continue to consult him for advice.

He has recently completed a three year Masters Degree course in Sports Medicine and Sport Science, at Roehampton (Surrey) University.  In addition to continuing to practice at the clinic, this will enable him to work more closely with elite athletes and sports teams.  Clive is currently working for Liverpool Football Club on a regular basis, working with the medical team treating the elite first team players.

Clive strong beliefs in rehabilitation, management and prevention techniques are echoed throughout the rest of the clinic and it’s practitioners. He has close working relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, personal trainers and GP’s in the local area to assist in providing patients with the best possible treatment and care.
