James Isherwood B.Ost
Registered Osteopath
I graduated from The British School of Osteopathy in 2004 after successfully completing an enjoyable four year degree. The school helped me develop a solid understanding of the structure of the human body (anatomy), the way it works (bio-mechanics and physiology) and what happens when things go wrong (dysfunction and pathology). Since qualifying I have practiced in Aberdeen and more locally in Earlsfield.
I currently happily ply my trade here at The Putney Clinic and in Clapham. I enjoy an active life in which I look forward to new and exciting challenges. I have played football and cricket to good standards and still play a dozen games of rugby every season. I also enjoy golf, rock climbing, jogging and playing squash. I have also recently taken up Brazilian Ju-Jitsu which I counter-act with regular osteopathic treatment from colleagues!
Having spent over ten years in health and fitness clubs across SW London as a fitness coach, I have developed a strong understanding of sports specific exercises, rehabilitation exercises and corrective postural exercises. It still amazes me how a few seemingly simple tips can help people recover and stay injury free! As an osteopath, I am committed to providing not only good 'hands on' help, but also sound clinical advice and really helping patients understand the nature of their problems so that they can start to get back to normal as quickly as possible.
Jamie is available at The Putney Clinic on Monday afternoon and evenings, Wednesday mornings and also on Saturdays.
