Oliver Langford BSc (Sports Studies), Dip SRMT, MSMA
Massage Therapist
I originally qualified with a BSc degree in Sports Studies with Leisure Studies from De Montfort University, Bedford in 1996 and spent 2½ years working as a fitness instructor in the corporate fitness industry.
I then spent 6½ years working in IT/computing before realising that my vocation was to help people recover from the stresses of working in a 9-5 desk job.
In 2006 I qualified as a sports and remedial massage therapist at the North London School of Sports Massage to enable me to help people in the relief of muscular pain and the treatment of sports injuries, RSI and other soft tissue disorders.
I have taken further advanced courses in myofascial release and remedial bodywork and am now a specialist in postural correction and the treatment of modern environmental overuse injuries (e.g. pain and postural problems caused by excessive computer usage, driving, backpacks, poor seating, road-running).
I am an expert in stretching techniques and the use of fitballs and professional foam rollers for muscle tension release, postural correction and core stability work. As well as identifying and treating the root cause of your pain problem, I can also give the necessary advice so that the problem is less likely to recur.
My sporting interests include running, cycling, swimming, fitness training and yoga.
Oliver is available at the clinic on Wednesday evenings and every second Saturday.
