Phoebe Machin   BSc (Physio) MCSP MAPA AACP

Chartered Physiotherapist

Phoebe graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Sydney University in 1995.  She has over 13 years of experience of physiotherapy practice.

Prior to this degree she gained an Associate Diploma of Health Science (Sport and Exercise) at New England University which has given her a greater focus in the sports injury field of practice.

Phoebe believes in a holistic approach to rehabilitation.  People with acute injuries are assessed and treated to settle immediate symptoms.  An individually tailored rehabilitation programme is then formulated with that person’s exercise goals in mind to fully rehabilitate them back to their pre injury health.   This approach facilitates a more rapid return to sport / work / activity and helps minimise the possibility of re-injury for the future.  Her special interests are treatment of back, neck and sports injuries and she uses acupuncture as an adjunct in her treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

Phoebe also believes that when you are beginning a new season of sport whether it’s skiing, rugby or tennis, it is wise to book in for a pre-season injury screening session to troubleshoot any problems before they arise.  Remember…PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!

Phoebe is available at The Putney Clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays.
