Pilates Teacher

Emily Altneu is a Pilates teacher. She teaches at The Putney Clinic through our colleagues at Yoga Mama. She has been teaching since 2009 after training in Musical Theatre. Emily has been practising Pilates for more than fifteen years. She views her approach to fitness as part regenerative and part preventive. Her Pilates practice is all about enjoying a long, happy and healthy, fit life.

Emily is qualified in teaching Reformer, Cadillac, Tower and Chair Pilates. She trained with Drummond Education (BASI) and JPilates (Jay Grimes). Emily continues her training with a master teacher from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado – where they have a direct link to Romana Kryzanowska (who was Joseph Pilates’ protégé). She strikes a balance in her teaching of honouring the classical repertoire and teaching an evolved approach for the 21st century. She is also a qualified Pregnancy and Postnatal Pilates teacher.
